Burkina Faso international forward Prejuce Nakoulma joined side .

Nakoulma has been without a club since his contract was terminated by Ligue 1 side FC Nantes back in August. He played 29 games for Nantes in the league and scored nine goals.

The 31-year-old believes that this is an opportunity for him to help the struggling side in staying in the Turkish Super League.

“I have come to a group of fighters, hopefully the determination will benefit club and country,”he told Rizerspor website.

“The current position is not the desired spot for the club, I want to fight to ensure the club remain in the big league.”

Nakoulma is not new to the Turkish Super League as he played 71 games in the competition for Mersin Idmanyurdu and Kayserispor between 2014 and 2016. He scored 14 goals in the competition and provided nine assists.

He played most of his career in Poland where he played for six teams including Gornik Leczna, Widzew Lodz and most recently Górnik Zabrze.

Adding to that he also has over 52 caps for Burkina Faso during which he scored 13 goals. He was also a member of the Burkina Faso squad that finished as runners-up in the 2013 African Cup of Nations.

Rizerspor currently sit bottom on the Turkish League table with just 12 points in 17 games. They will face Egypt’s Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’ Kasimpasa in their next game on January 21.
