Wadi Degla, Ittihad of Alexandria agree double swap deal
Wadi Degla and Ittihad of Alexandria have reached an agreement to swap El-Sayed Salem and Karim Mamdouh for Ahmed El-Alfy and Ramzy Khaled.
Wadi Degla duo El-Sayed Salem and Karim Mamdouh entered the final six months of their contracts and didn’t want to extend their deals, which forced the club to agree to sell them.
On the other hand, Ahmed El-Alfy and Ramzy Khaled have gone the other way after they struggled for game time at the Alexandria-based club.
Wadi Degla have signed two players in the January transfer window, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham from Al Ahly and Ghanian left-back Issahaku Yakubu from Greek side Ergotelis.
The club are currently 11th in the Egyptian Premier League and their next game will be against Al Ahly on Monday, January 28.
Meanwhile, Ittihad are 12th and are still in the Arab and Egypt Cups. They were drawn against Saudi giants Al Hilal in the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup and will face Ismaily in the same round of the Egypt Cup.
