Smouha sack Tarek Yehia after seven games in charge
Smouha manager Tarek Yehia has been sacked following the team’s humiliating 4-0 loss to Nogoom FC in the 19th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Yehia was in charge of the Alexandria-based club in seven games, but failed to win any, drawing three, while losing four, including a defeat to rivals Ittihad of Alexandria in the Egypt Cup.
The team scored only four games under his charge, while conceding 12, losing to the likes of Al Ahly, Petrojet, and most recently Nogoom FC.
It’s not the first job that Yehia has lost this season, as he quit his post as Petrojet manager in November after coincidentally suffering a 2-3 loss to Nogoom FC in the 13th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Smouha will start looking for their third manager this season as before Tarek Yehia, they had Ali Maher, but he resigned and went on to manage ENPPI.
Following their big defeat to Nogoom FC, Smouha are currently ninth in the Egyptian Premier League with 23 points from 19 games, and their next game will be against ENPPI on Wednesday, January 23.
