Beşiktaş target Mahmoud Trezeguet as Ryan Babel replacement – Report
Turkish giants Beşiktaş are keen on signing Egypt international Mahmoud Trezeguet as they see him as a replacement for Ryan Babel.
Babel has recently joined Premier League side Fulham for €2 million, and according to Turkish reports, Beşiktaş have found the ideal replacement in Mahmoud Trezeguet.
German website LigaBlatt has revealed that Beşiktaş have made an €11 million offer for the Egypt international, however, it was rejected by Kasimpasa.
They added that Kasimpasa’s manager Mustafa Denizli believes that Trezeguet’s value has exceeded €12 million after his recent performances for the club this season.
Trezeguet has been at Kasimpasa since July 2017, and has scored five goals and assisted the same amount in 17 league games this season.
However, Kasimpasa manager Mustafa Denizli has revealed earlier this month that his club are not willing to let go of the Egyptian during the winter transfer window.
Kasimpasa are currently fourth in the Turkish Super League, while Beşiktaş are having a disappointing season as they sit sixth, nine points behind leaders İstanbul Başakşehir.
Egypt’s most capped footballer Ahmed Hassan is the only Egyptian player to ever feature for Beşiktaş, having played for them between 2003 to 2006, scoring 20 goals in 79 games, as well as winning the Turkish Cup in his last season with them.
