Petrojet sign Pyramids duo Hamada Tolba, Islam Siam
Pyramids skipper Hamada Tolba struggled for playing time due to the presence of Ali Gabr, Ahmed Ayman Mansour, Omar Al Midani, and Abdallah Bakri.
The former Egypt international has played only two games this season across all competitions, assisting once in the club’s 3-3 draw against Petrojet.
Wanting to play more, Tolba, 37, has decided to join Petrojet, signing a deal until the end of the season, with the club having the option of extending his contract for one more year.
Hamada Tolba will bring a wealth of experience to Petrojet, having played for a big number of Egyptian teams, including Suez Cement, Smouha, Misr El-Makkasa, Zamalek, El-Masry, and ENPPI.
He has also represented the Egyptian national team in three games and was part of the team that qualified for the 2017 AFCON.
Meanwhile, Tolba’s teammate Islam Siam has moved to Petrojet, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract, after failing to play a single minute for Pyramids this season.
Siam is a 33-year-old centre-back, who played for the likes of Arab Contractors, Ittihad of Alexandria, Ghazl El-Mahalla, and Al-Ahed of Lebanon.
The duo becomes Petrojet’s fifth winter signing after a disappointing first-half of the season, as they find themselves bottom of the Egyptian Premier League.
