Al Ahly: Walid Soliman does not require surgery
Al Ahly have confirmed on Tuesday that first team playmaker Walid Soliman won’t require undergoing a surgical intervention over his knee injury, saying that he needs a five-week timetable to recover.
Soliman sustained a knee injury in the final minutes of Al Ahly’s away 1-1 draw at Algerian side JS Saoura as the Reds moved top of their group.
Al Ahly team doctor Khaled Mahmoud asserted that the 34-year-old attacking midfielder was checked by specialist who affirmed that the player’s knee condition does not require an medical operation.
Soliman’s injury was diagnosed as a lesion to his knees’ medial collateral ligament, a lesion to knee cap and a minor injury to his knee cartilage. Al Ahly stated that the player has already proceeded with his recovery program.
Soliman has participated in 11 games for Al Ahly this season between the league and the Champions League. He has one goal and two assists to his name.
