Al Ahly youngster Karim Yehia joins Smouha on loan

Al Ahly youngster Karim Yehia joins Smouha on loan
Cairo giants Al Ahly have announced that their young centre-back has joined Smouha on one-and-a-half-year loan.

The 19-year-old is a product of Al Ahly youth sector, but has struggled to break into the first-team, which made him leave the club on loan to gain first-team experience.

This will be Yehia’s first spell away from the club, becoming the second Al Ahly player to join Smouha on loan this season after Amr Barakat.

Yehia will reunite with former manager Adel Abdelrahman, who was in charge of Al Ahly’s youth team, before taking over Smouha following Tarek Yehia’s departure.

Smouha are currently struggling in the league as they sit ninth on the league table, having not won a league game since their 1-0 victory over Wadi Degla on October 7.

They will face ENPPI on Wednesday, January 23, hoping to get the three points to improve their league position.
