Ismaily release statement regarding CAF Champions League elimination
Ismaily SC have released a statement in the name of their fans asking the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to overrule their decision.
During the Ismaily and Club Africain game, match official Neant Alioum stopped the game multiple times due to a riot by the Ismaily fans, who protested the referee’s decisions in their 2-1 home defeat, before suspending the game.
CAF’s organizing committee for inter-clubs competition and Club Licensing decided to eliminate Ismaily from the Champions League according to the regulations of the competition.
Then Ismaily SC released a statement in the name of the clubs’ fans asking the CAF to overrule their decision so that they can continue participating in the Champions League.
