Egypt FA fines Zamalek following Pyramids clash
The committee, led by Amer Hussein, decided to impose a 15,000 EGP on Zamalek head coach Christian Gross as he did not attend the post-match press conference.
Additionally, the White Knights will pay 10,000 EGP after balls were thrown inside the pitch to spoil the opponent’s attacks. The club will pay another 20,000 EGP fine due to insults made by their fans towards Pyramids coach and for throwing water bottles.
Zamalek midfielder Abdallah Gomaa will be suspended for one game after he was sent off for receiving a second yellow card in the game.
Pyramids former coach Hossam Hassan, who was sacked hours after the game, was also suspended along with the former football director Ibrahim Hassan for one game after they were sent off by the referee.
Similarly, Entag El Harby were fined 5,000 EGP after team players warmed up in an area not assigned for warm ups before their match against Dakhleya. As well, Entag football director Mohamed Abdallah was fined 5,000 EGP for entering the pitch during the game.
Dakhleya were also fined the same amount for the same issue regarding the warm up area, in addition to another 5,000 EGP for the objection of the club’s coaching staff on the referee’s decisions.
