Former Al Ahly forward Malick Evouna joins Portugal’s CD Santa Clara
Evouna had a successful stint with Cairo giants Al Ahly, before leaving in 2016 to join Chinese side Tianjin Teda in a club record sale.
However, his time in Asia was rather unsuccessful as he only played 10 games and scored 3 goals and his poor performances, saw him being dropped to the reserves team before going on loan to Turkish Super League side Konyaspor.
While in Turkey he played 17 games and managed to score only once while providing just one assist, before returning back to China.
Evouna will now join Portuguese Primeira Liga side CD Santa Clara on a two-and-a-half-year contract, becoming their fourth winter signing.
Santa Clara are currently 10th on the Portuguese league table with 21 points, and they will face eighth-placed Portimonense in their next game on February 3.
