Wilfried Bony completes Al Arabi move

Ivory Coast striker has officially departed from English football to join Qatari club on loan for the rest of the current season.

Bony has participated in seven games for in the Championship this season and scored once in the domestic competition.

The 30-year-old has moved to the English Premier League in 2013, joining Swansea from Dutch club Vitesse. His quality displays earned him a move to Manchester City two years later. Bony joined Stoke City on loan a in summer 2016 before he was sold back to Swansea.

Al Arabi announced they have signed Bony on a six-month loan deal, disclosing that the player arrived in Doha and underwent his medical for the club ahead of signing the contract.

“I am pleased to announce that i have joined Al-Arabi on Loan for the rest of the season,” Bony wrote on Twitter.

“I would like to sincerely Thank Swansea City and their Fans for their support during my injury and i would like to Thank everyone who helped me regain my fitness.”
