Misr El-Makkasa sign Kevin Muhire, send him to El-Dakhleya on loan
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has joined Misr El-Makkasa after he underwent a successful trial at the Fayoum-based club.
He becomes El-Makkasa’s seventh winter signing as they brought in the likes of Shimelis Bekele, Khalid El-Sheikh, Hossam Abdelwahed, Ahmed Gamal, Omar El-Wahsh, and Mido Gaber.
Muhire had featured for Rayon Sports last season, joining on loan from fellow Rwandan club Isonga FC, and has represented them in this season’s CAF Champions League.
Following impressive performances for Rayon Sports, Muhire was named as the club’s Player of the Year and Rwanda’s Young Player of the Year, as well as being included in the 2017/2018 Team of the Season.
He has also played four games for the Rwanda national team, making his debut against Cameroon in a friendly in January 2016.
Despite not completing the foreign players’ quota, El-Makkasa have announced that Muhire will spend the rest of the season at El-Dakhleya.
El-Dakhleya have been very active in the January transfer window, signing nine players, and Muhire will complete the club’s foreign players’ quota.
They currently sit 15th in the Egyptian Premier League with 21 points, nine behind fourth-placed Misr El-Makkasa.
