Former Pyramids FC forward Schahin joins Spanish club Extremadura UD
The 29-year-old striker joined Pyramids in the summer transfer window, but was used by the Egyptian club, playing only four league games, in which he was a substitute in all of them.
His contract was terminated in December, and he has been without a club since then, before signing for Spanish-second division side Extremadura UD.
This marks Schahin’s first stint in Spain, as he spent the majority of his career at lower-tier leagues of Germany before moving to the Netherlands to represent Roda JC in the Eerste Divisie.
Schahin becomes the club’s 10th winter signing, and could make his debut for them when they host Sporting Gijon on Sunday.
Extremadura UD are currently 19th in the Segunda División, and will hope that Schahin could help them avoid relegation.
