VIDEO: Trezeguet assists in Kasimpasa’s 3-1 defeat to Sivasspor
Egypt international Mahmoud Trezeguet has assisted Kasimpasa’s only goal as they suffered a 3-1 loss to Sivasspor in the 20th round of the Turkish Super Lig.
New signing Karim Hafez was not included in the squad, with Trezeguet starting the game and playing the full 90 minutes.
The visitors got off to a good start as Emre Kılınç opened the scoring for Sivasspor after six minutes only, however, Stipe Perica equalised for Kasimpasa eight minutes later, converting an inch-perfect cross from Trezeguet.
Two headers in the 63rd and 66th minutes from former Ivory Coast and Everton forward Arouna Koné, saw Sivasspor secure an important away victory at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.
Following the loss, Kasimpasa are currently seventh in the league table, having not won any of their last three league games, while Sivasspor moved up to eighth.
Kasimpasa’s next game will be against Akhisar Belediyespor on Thursday, July 2 in the first-leg of the Turkish Cup quarter-finals.
