Klopp on Salah joining Egypt’s March camp: No contact yet
Salah took part in 33 games for Liverpool in all competitions so far this season and is deemed the team’s most crucial element following his last season heroics. The Egypt international scored 19 goals and delivered eight assists thus far.
The Egyptian Football Association vice-president Ahmed Shobier had stated on Wednesday that the 26-year-old forward won’t be summoned by the Pharaohs boss Javier Aguirre for the March camp.
However, when Klopp was asked he didn’t give the reporters a definitive answer.
“No contact yet [with the EFA]. Mo didn’t say anything. So we will see,” Klopp stated.
Egypt will face Niger in the final encounter in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on March 22 before playing against Nigeria on March 26.
