EFA: Al Ahly vs Pyramids game postponed
Al Ahly and Zamalek have yet to face each other in the Egyptian Premier League this season due to their commitment to continental and Arab competitions.
Adding to that Pyramids had already threatened to issue a complaint against the EFA due to their poor organisation of the Egyptian League and Egypt Cup schedule.
Earlier today the EFA released a statement announcing that the game will be postponed until Al Ahly face Zamalek.
“Based on the Egyptian FA’s decision to delegate the scheduling of the Egyptian premier league fixtures to the competition commitee. It has been decided that Al Ahly’s clash with Pyramids FC will be postponed, instead of being played on the 28th ot February, after Al Ahly face Zamalek.”
Al Ahly are currently third on the Egyptian Premier League table with 39 points with three games in hand. Zamalek also have three games in hand and are on top of the league with 45 points. As for Pyramids they sit second with 42 points.
