Martin Lasarte: The heat and humidity affected the players

Al Ahly manager Martin Lasarte said that the heat and humidity affected his players performance during their loss to in the .

Al Ahly have suffered a 1-0 away defeat to Tanzanian side Simba SC in the fourth round of the CAF Champions League group-stages.

“The heat and high humidity affected us especially in the second-half. Which exhausted the players,” he said during the post-match press conference.

“I played with three players in midfield to rest the players because of the heat.

“Simba players also waisted a lot of time by falling on the ground over 15 times. This doesn’t respect the fair play rules.

“Al Ahly is used to looking forward, our goal is to win two remaining games and qualify for the second round while reaching our goal which is winning the tournament.” He concluded.

The Red Devils are currently top of their group with seven points. They will face El Entag el Harby in their next game in the Egyptian Premier League.

    Humidity? Waaaahahahahahahahahahhahaha El Masry played there last year on their ground and got a draw 2:2 and kicked them out of the CAF Confederation Cup

    So dont Talk about humidity and things like that when your players play like shit

    True, but Al Masry also lost 4-0 to AS Vita Club last year, who lost 2-0 to Al Ahly this year.

      Wait for the rematch when Ahly plays in Congo against them, not at home. El masry lost away from home. Ahly won the match against vita club at home. We will see
