CAF announce date for Egypt-Niger 2019 AFCON qualifier

CAF have officially announced the dates for the Egyptian national team game against in the last round of .

 have already secured qualification to the African competition after picking up 12 points from five rounds to be tied on the top with Tunisia, on the top of being the tournament’s hosts after winning hosting rights in early January.

Their remaining game will be against Niger, with the encounter taking place on the 23rd of March at 16:30 CLT at Stade Général Seyni Kountché, the CAF have announced.

Following the game, the Pharaohs will head to Lagos for their amicable game against on March 26.

boss Javier Aguirre has named an experimental squad for the two games, leaving the likes of Mohamed Salah, Ahmed Hegazi, Ahmed Elmohamady, and Hussein El-Shahat out of his selections.

On the other hand, he decided to call-up a number of youngsters, namely Mostafa Mohamed, Ammar Hamdi, Islam Gaber, Ahmed Aboul-Fotouh, and Abdelrahman Magdi.

Mahmoud Gennesh, Mahmoud Abou-Gabal, Amer Amer, Ahmed Ayman Mansour, and Mohamed Dunga could also make their international debut in March.
