Mohamed Salah nominated for Liverpool’s Goal of the Month award
Egypt international Mohamed Salah has been nominated for Liverpool’s goal of the month award for his close-range effort against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Salah has been struggling recently with his scoring form, scoring just one goal in the month of February, which came in the Reds’ 3-0 victory over Bournemouth at Anfield, and it was enough for him to earn a nomination for the goal of the month award.
It was a great linkup play between the Egyptian and Roberto Firmino, who brilliantly found Salah with a backheel pass, before the 26-year old comfortably collected the ball and beat Asmir Begovic from close range into the bottom corner of the net, to score Liverpool’s third of the day and secure the three points for them.
Other notable nominations include; Mane’s goal against West Ham United, in addition to his brace against Watford. Divock Oirgi’s strike against Watford was also on the list.
It worth mentioning that Salah has won Liverpool’s goal of the month in December for his goal against Bournemouth as well, which was his third this season after winning it in August and October.
After losing the Premier League lead last weekend following the goalless draw at Everton, the Reds are hosting Burnley in the 30th round of the English Premier League.
