Al Ahly pursue Asante Kotoko’s Songne Yacouba – Report
Egypt giants Al Ahly have joined the race to attain the services of Asante Kotoko striker Songne Yacouba in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Ghana.
Yacouba has featured for in five games for Kotoko in the Ghanaian league hitting the net on four occasions. He has also scored once for his side in this season’s edition of the CAF Confederations Cup.
According to footballghana.com, Al Ahly are prepared to table a 1.5 million USD offer to sign the 27-year-old forward from Asante Kotoko. Zambian giant Zesco United and Nkana FC shown interest in him, per the report.
The 27-year-old has emerged on the radar of Red Devils following his splendid performance at the Kumasi-based club since joining last year.
“Al Ahly is the latest club which have also shown interest in signing Yacouba after Zesco United and Nkana FC,” Football Ghana cited a source saying.
In addition to being ready to offer 1.5M USD, Al Ahly are also willing to offer Yacouba between 1000-5000 USD per week should he agree to join.
