Sadio Mane beats Mohamed Salah to Liverpool’s Goal of the Month award
Mane had an impressive month as he managed to score four goals in five games across all competitions, which included his award-winning back heel against Watford.
This season the 26-year-old has scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 35 games across all competitions.
Other nominations included, Jemma Purfield’s goal for the women’s team against MK Dons, Said Mane’s header against Watford, Wijnaldum’s chip against Bournemouth and Salah’s goal against The Cherries.
On the other hand, Salah’s month was quite disappointing as he managed to score just one goal in all five games. The Egyptian scored 20 goals and provided eight assists up until now across all competitions.
It worth mentioning that Salah has won Liverpool’s goal of the month in December for his goal against Bournemouth as well, which was his third this season after winning it in August and October.
Liverpool have now dropped to second place in the Premier League with 70 points, one behind Manchester City. They will face Burnley in their next game on Sunday, March 10.
