Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both scored in ’s 2-0 victory against in the 30th fixture of the English Premier League.

Arsenal managed to break the deadlock just 13 minutes into the game through Xhaka, whose long range powerful strike nestled into David De Gea’s bottom right corner, making it 1-0.

Just five minutes later, the Reds responded when Paul Pogba squared the ball towards Fred near the edge of the box, however the Brazilian’s first time low shot cannoned off the post.

Manchester United kept pushing forwards in the second half, but the Gunners maintained strong defence and in the 68th minute, Arsenal were awarded a penalty kick after Alexandre Lacazette was brought down inside the box by Fred. Aubameyang scored calmly from the spot to double the lead for the home side.

The win takes Arsenal to the fourth spot with 60 points ahead of their anticipated Europa League encounter against Stade Rennais on the 14th of March.

Mohammed Salama is a 21-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
