Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said that Liverpool won’t be less threatening despite Salah’s poor run in form.

Salah’s recent form was quite disappointing as he managed to score just one goal his past six games.

In addition the Egyptian scored just 20 goals in 39 games across all competitions. In comparison in his first 30 Premier League games last season he already had 24 goals to his name.

Despite his goal drought, German international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer believes that Liverpool will still be very dangerous.

“The fact that he only scored one in the last eight doesn’t mean anything.” Neuer said during the pre match press conference.

“Liverpool can score from anywhere , Van Dijk, Matip, from set pieces.

“I think Liverpool will attack and I don’t think it will be as defensive.

“We will be more attacking but we will see how Liverpool press and attack us.”

Liverpool are set to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday March 13 in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16. The first leg ended in a goalless draw, meaning that the Reds will need a win to secure qualification.

Liverpool are also currently second on the Premier League table with 73 points just one behind Manchester City.
