Gehad Greisha to officiate Burundi vs Gabon game
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Refereeing Committee have chosen Egyptian referee Gehad Greisha to officiate the 2019 AFCON qualifiers game between Burundi and Gabon.
Both Gabon and Burundi will be competing for the second spot to qualify next to group leaders Mali. Burundi will host the Panthers on March 23.
Gabon are currently third with seven points just two behind Burundi.
This season Greisha officiated 14 games between the Egyptian Premier League and the CAF Champions League. During which he gave away a total of 46 yellow cards, three red cards and five penalties.
The 42-year-old was among the 36 referees selected for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. During the tournament he officiated England 6-1 thrashing of Panama.
Throughout the game he gave away four yellow cards and awarded two penalties.
