Arsenal given tough Europa League draw against Napoli
Mohamed Elneny’s Arsenal were handed a difficult draw in the Europa League quarterfinal after they were drawn against Italian outfit Napoli following the draw at UEFA headquarters.
Arsenal overturned their first leg 3-1 deficit against Stade Rennais in the round of 16 and prevailed 3-0 in the return game thanks to the brace of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
On the other hand, Napoli were through to the next round after defeating Austria’s RB Salzburg 4-3 on aggregate.
The draw have set Arsenal and Napoli against each other in a two-legged tie that’s arguably the most anticipated at this stage in the UEFA’s second-tier competition.
The first encounter will take place at Emirates Stadium on April 11, with the second leg to be played a week later at San Paolo Stadium in Naples on April 18.
