Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool set for quarterfinal encounter against Porto

Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool have been set against Portugal heavyweights in the League quarterfinal after the draw was concluded on Friday.

Liverpool had sealed qualification to the  quarterfinal after managing to down Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena with a 3-1 victory, after the first leg game ended in a 0-0 at Anfield.

The Reds were drawn against Liga Nos title holders in a fixture that is a replication of the preceding edition of the Champions League’s knockout stage when they faced each other in the round of 16, the round that saw a significant Liverpool 5-0 win.

The first leg game will take place at Anfield on April 9, before flying out to Porto to play the second leg at Estadio do Dragao on April 17.

Full Champions League quarterfinal draw:

Ajax v Juventus

Liverpool v Porto

Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City

Manchester United v Barcelona

It’s also been decided that the winner between Liverpool and Porto will take on the winner between Manchester United and Barcelona in the semifinal.
