Egypt Olympic team announce squad for Spain camp

Egypt’s Olympic team manager Shawky Gharib announced a 27-man squad for their closed camp set to take place in Spain.

The 10-day training camp takes place from March 17th to March 27th and there will be three friendly matches to be played during that time.

The first game to take place is between Egypt’s Olympic team and the Netherlands, while the remaining two friendlies are yet to be determined.

The Pharaohs already had a friendly on March 8 against Malawi where they won 2-0 at home.
Mostafa Shobeir, son of legendary goalkeeper Ahmed Shobeir, was included in the squad.

Ramadan Sobhi was also included as he wasn’t called-up for the first team training camp.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Omar Radwan (El Gouna), Omar Salah (Zamalek), Mahmoud Gad (ENPPI), Mostafa Shobeir (Al Ahly).

Defenders: Ossama Galal (Misr El-Makassa), Mahmoud Marei (Wadi Degla), Ahmed Ramadan (Wadi Degla), Mostafa Saber (Al Ahly), Mohamed Abdelsalam (Zamalek), Karim Hesham (Al Masry).

Midfielders: Karim ‘Nedved’ (Al Ahly), Akram Tawfik (El Gouna), Ahmed Mostafa (Smouha), Mohamed Sadek (Ismaily), Wagih Abdelhakim (Ismaily), Mohab Yasser (Nogoom FC), Ahmed Youssef (ENPPI), Youssef Ismail, Ghanam Mohamed Ghanam (Entag El-Harby)

Attackers: Islam Issa (Al Masry), Sherif Reda (Smouha), Nasser Maher (Al Ahly), Ahmed Hamdy (El Gouna), Emam Ashour (Harass El-Hodood), Ramadan Sobhi (Al Ahly), Nasser Mansi (Pyramids FC), Ahmed Yasser Rayan (El Gouna).
