manager said that has been in outstanding shape despite his recent goal drought.

Salah has been in worrying lately as he managed to score just one goal in his last seven games with Liverpool. This marks the Egyptian’s longest period without scoring since joining the Reds.

However Jurgen Klopp believes that the former Roma man has been in great form and was just unlucky during the Bayern Munich game.

“It’s good that we split the goals a little bit, absolutely it’s good. We now have 73 points, each goal we scored brought us there. And from time to time it’s clicking for one more than the other.” Klopp said.

“I think a very, very good situation in the Bayern game was – to explain the situation of Mo a little bit because I think he’s in outstanding shape – but the situation he had when in the last second Sule came in with his foot.

“That’s a goal [normally]. If Sule switched off… Mo did everything right and Sule is still there to put the foot in. So that’s the situation he has at the moment, or had in that moment.”

Klopp then commented on ’s brilliant form and how he’s helped the team in recent weeks.

“And with Sadio it’s different. So thank God. That’s how it is. Really important, all the goals the boys score for us. Who scores is not too important. But of course it helps if the boys are confident and know what they do.

“[Mane’s] first goal, if he hasn’t scored for five or six games, he wouldn’t have scored that goal, but it was like completely natural the whole thing. At the end everyone criticised Neuer but it was just world class from Sadio. We have to accept that.

“He’s in a good moment at the moment, hopefully it stays like that. The goals we scored so far are important, but not as important as the goals we will score until the end of the season.”

The Senegalese international scored 19 goals for Liverpool this season across all competitions. Nine of them came in his last seven games.
