We’re motivated ahead of Sundowns game, says Rami Rabia

Al Ahly will host Sundowns in Suez next Saturday April 14 in the second-leg of the continental competition. They were handed a humiliating 5-0 loss in the first leg.

Nonetheless The Reds’ centre-back Rami Rabia believes that they will respond strongly in the second leg.

“We consider this game as being a second-half and everyone is ready for it,” he said during the post match press conference.

“There’s no time for discussion now, the response for what happened in the first leg will be tomorrow in the game. We will give everything to achieve the best possible result.

“We are very motivated to perform in a way that’s worthy of Al Ahly’s name and its supporters. Especially after the push we got from beating Misr El-Makassa and being on top of the league,” he concluded.

Rami Rabia spent a lengthy period on the sidelines this season due to injury. He played just four games for Ahly in the league and the Champions League.

    You guys lost the entire tie in the first leg, overturning 5-0 loss against a team of Sundowns’ calibre is mission impossible. Sundowns are very emotional intelligent, they’ll shut the back door and watch you huff and puff, then catch you on a counter with long balls and fast forwards. Play a high defensive line at your own risk…you’ve been warned.
