Egypt midfielder has been named in Arsenal squad that was announced by head coach Unai Emery to take on Napoli in the return leg of the Europa League quarterfinal.

Aaron Ramsey and a Kalidou Koulibaly own goal ensured that the Gunners won the first leg of their quarterfinal tie 2-0 to seize the advantage over the tie before the heated return leg in Naples.

Despite starting five of the six group-games of the competition, the 26-year-old midfielder failed to feature in both legs against BATE Borisov in the round of 32 and was absent from the Gunners squad in their two ties against Stade Rennais in the round of 16.

He did not feature against Napoli at the Emirates Stadium, either, in spite of being on the team sheet.

Elneny has a shy number of appearances for Arsenal this season as he only participated in 14 games across all competitions without registering any contribution to his side besides an assist against Vorskla in Europa League group stages.
