Mohamed Awad talks about his future with Al Wehda
Egypt international goalkeeper Mohamed Awad confirmed that he’ll be returning to Ismaily at the end of the season and said he has several offers.
Awad has joined Saudi side Al Wehda on a one season loan from Egyptian Premier League side Ismaily SC.
He was a major player in Al Wehda’s starting eleven as he played 27 games between the sticks in the Saudi Professional League and the King’s Cup.
The Ismaily loanee is also very likely going to be part of the Egypt national team squad to participate in the upcoming 2019 AFCON.
The 26-year-old talked about his future with Al Wehda and the offers he received following this season, saying: “I’m currently focused on my two remaining games with Al Wehda. Then we’ll see what happens.
“My journey with Al Wehda will end at the end of the season. I will then return to my team, Ismaily. From there we’ll see what offers I get.
“I have several offers and I’ll start talking with my agent once the season is over to make everything clear. At the end of the season everything will be clear,” he concluded.
Al Wehda are currently seventh on the Saudi league table with 39 points. Their two remaining games will be against Al-Qadisiyah on May 11 and Al Feiha five days later.
