Gary Lineker states Salah’s penalty was a correct decision
Former England International, Gary Lineker, states that Salah’s awarded penalty was a correct decision by the referee.
Mohamed Salah won Liverpool a penalty in the 75th minute after he was held back by Cardiff City’s defender, Sean Morrison. Jamer Milner stepped up and easily converted it to secure a huge 2-0 victory for the Reds in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
Lineker expressed his agreement of the referee’s decision on Twitter, stating, “It was a penalty for me. Can’t really see how you could think otherwise…..but you will, of course.”

Following the win, Liverpool return top with 88 points, two more than second-placed Man City, who still have a game in hand.
The Reds’ next game will be against already-relegated Huddersfield Town on Friday, April 26, while Man City will face arch-rivals Man United two days earlier.
