EFA reveal Egypt’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations training base
Egypt will train at the Cairo Military Academy stadium during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place between June 21 to July 19.
The Pharaohs were placed in group A alongside DR Congo, Zimbabwe, and Uganda, with the top two teams of each group, along with the best four third-placed teams, advance to the round of 16.
Egypt’s opening game will be against Zimbabwe on June 21, before facing DR Congo five days later, and on June 30 they will play their final group game against the Cranes.
All group A games will take place at the Cairo International stadium, with the exception for the Zimbabwe and DR Congo in the last round, which will be played at the 30 June stadium.
And the EFA have announced that the Pharaohs will train at the Cairo Military Academy stadium during the tournament, with the Le Méridien hotel acting as their headquarters.
The Cairo Military Academy stadium was one of six stadiums used in the 2006 African Cup of Nations, however, it was not selected for the 2019 tournament.
