Etoile striker to miss-out on Zamalek game due to ban

Etoile Sportive de Sahel striker will miss at least his side’s first game against in the semifinals.

Etoile secured a spot in the semifinals after they managed to beat Sudan’s champions Al Hilal 3-1 at home, before winning again 2-1 away from home, which 5-2 was the final aggregate scoreline.

They are set to face the Whites, who qualified for the semis following their 1-0 aggregate victory over Morocco’s Hassania Agadir.

However the Tunisian giants will miss-out on Algerian striker during at least one of the legs, after receiving a straight red card for assaulting a Hilal player. He scored their first goal of the game in the 36th minute.

The 24-year-old joined Etoile coming from Algerian side DRB Tadjenanet back in January. Since, he appeared on six occasions in the Tunisian League scoring twice and providing two assists.

The CAF still has to decide the length of the ban, as he could miss just one leg or both of them.
