Egypt women’s national Beach Volleyball team win African Championship
Egypt women’s national Beach Volleyball team have won the 2019 CAVB Beach Volleyball Nations Cup in Nigeria after defeating Mauritius 2-0 in the final.
The Pharaohs won the African Championship in convincing manner as they beat Mauritius 21-19 in the first half and 21-9 in the second half.
Egypt’s journey in the tournament started with a 2-0 win against Gambia, followed by another win against Morocco and a 2-0 victory over hosts Nigeria before defeating Mauritius in the final.
The team represented by Farida Al-Asqalany and Doaa El-Ghabashy are now through to the summer’s World Championship that is set to take place in Hamburg, Germany.
