Liverpool beat 4-0 in the second leg of the UEFA Champions semifinals to secure a spot in competition’s final.

The Reds had an uphill battle as they lost 3-0 in the first leg and missed the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

Belgium international Divock Origi scored the only goal of the first-half just seven minutes into the game.

Then, Wijnaldum who came on between half-time for Andy Robertson, doubled the scoring in the 54th minute.

The former Newcastle man then completed his brace from a powerful header after he made the most out of a wonderful Xherdan Shaqiri.

In the 68th minute Messi nearly shattered Liverpool’s dream after he took the ball down on his chest and took a powerful shot but Alisson managed to save it.

Finally in the 79th minute Alexandre Arnold took a quick corner, which found Origi who scored his side’s fourth and final goal.

Liverpool have now reached their second final in a row, where they’ll face the winner between Tottenham and Ajax Amsterdam, on June 1.

They are still also competing for the Premier League title as they are just one point behind league leaders Manchester City. Their upcoming game will be against Wolves next Sunday.
