Report: RS Berkane midfielder suspended from Confederations Cup final
It has been reported that RS Berkane midfielder Najji Larbi is set to be suspended from the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup final against Zamalek after an accumulation of yellow cards was noted.
Morocco’s RS Berkane had made the final after defeating CS Sfaxien 3-0 in the second leg of the 2019 CAF Confederations Cup semi-final, overturning their first leg 2-0 deficit and advancing to the final showdown.
Furthermore, Zamalek have sealed their spot in the CAF Confederation Cup final after a goalless away draw against Etoile du Sahel in the second leg having edged the first leg with a 1-0 victory.
According to Moroccan outlet Almountakhab, Larbi will not be available for RS Berkane in the first leg after he was booked in their encounter against Sfaxien.
The newspaper stated that the 28-year-old midfielder is depicted as one of RS Berkane’s team pillars which could be a big miss for the Moroccan outfit.
It’s worth mentioning that the final first leg will be played on May 19 in Morocco, with the return leg scheduled to take place on May 26 in Alexandria.
