Coulibaly reunite with former Al Ahly boss Carteron at Raja Casablanca
Carteron signed the Malian defender during his time in charge of the Red Devils, before mutually terminating his contract last January.
He joined the Reds on a free transfer after playing under the leadership of Carteron at Mazembe and now he will reunite with the Frenchman for the third time at Raja Casablanca.
During his time at Al Ahly, Coulibaly made 22 appearances, while scoring three goals and providing two assists, helping Al Ahly reach the CAF Champions League final.
The 31-year-old took part in this season’s league campaign, with his last game coming in Al Ahly’s 1-0 victory over Smouha last January.
However, the arrival of Angolan winger Gerlado from CD 1º de Agosto meant that one of the foreign players must depart the club, and Coulibaly was the chosen one after the club secured the signing of Yasser Ibrahim from Smouha.
He becomes Raja Casablanca’s first summer signing as they want to strengthen the squad in order to win their first league title in seven years.
