Zamalek name squad for CAF Confederation Cup final
Zamalek boss Christian Gross has named a 24-man squad for the first-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final against .

The Whites have qualified for the CAF Conferedation Cup final, where they will face Morocco’s RS Berkane, following a 1-0 aggregate victory over Étoile du Sahel.

On the other hand, the Moroccan side have knocked out another Tunisian side in CS Sfaxien, and the Zamalek game will be their first-ever continental cup final.

Zamalek will face a goalkeeping crisis as first-choice Mahmoud Gennesh was sent off in the first-leg, while his replacement Emad El-Sayed was injured against El-Dakhleya on Sunday.

This means that third-choice goalkeeper and 21-year-old Omar Salah will start in Morocco, with Gennesh available for the return-leg.

However, Gross has decided to include the three goalkeepers in the travelling squad alongside youngster Mahmoud Abdel-Monsef, who is not registered in the competition.

Ahmed Madbouli has also made the list alongside team captain Hazem Emam, Hamid Ahdad, and Bahaa Magdy.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Abdel Rahim Gennesh, Emad El Sayed, Omar Salah, Mahmoud Abdel-Monsef.

Defenders: Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Bahaa Magdy, Abdallah Gomaa, Mahmoud Hamdi, Hamdi Nagguez, Mahmoud Alaa, Hazem Emam, Mohamed Abdel-Salam.

Midfielders: Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Youssef Obama, Ayman Hefny, Tarek Hamed, Mahmoud Kahraba, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Mohamed Hassan, Ibrahim Hassan, Mohamed Ibrahim, Ahmed Madbouli.

Forwards: Omar El-Said, Hamed Ahdad.
