Gross trusts young keeper Omar Salah in Morocco

Zamalek manager has expressed confidence in young goalkeeper who is in line to start against in the CAF Confederation Cup final.

The 21 year old looks as though he will be the beneficiary of Gennesh’s suspension and El Sayed’s injury, which will be a big talking point due to his lack of experience for such a big game.

When asked if Salah will be a potential issue, Gross responded saying “The goalkeeping coach at Zamalek prepares the goalkeepers at the highest level. I trust Amr Salah, who is a good goalkeeper and has the determination and the challenge to make a good match in the final,”

“We know the atmosphere well in Morocco and I trust the entire group I own. We will focus on the mental, psychological and tactical side to achieve a positive result in Morocco.”

Zamalek kick off tomorrow in Morocco at midnight Egyptian time, as they look to take a strong scoreline back to Cairo for the second leg next week.
