Ramon Diaz announces departure from Pyramids
Argentinian coach Ramon Diaz has taken to Facebook to announce the end of his relationship with Egyptian Premier League outfit Pyramids FC, drawing a line to a three-month stint with the re-branded Egyptian side.
Diaz was appointed as Pyramids’ new manager back in February 2019, succeeding Hossam Hassan who was sacked by the club following a 3-3 draw with Cairo giants against Zamalek in the league.
Diaz was in charge in 12 games with Pyramids this season where he achieved victory in eight of them, while drawing three and losing just once. His side scored 21 goals and conceded eight during his tenure.
“I would like to thank my friend Turki Al-Sheikh for granting my this opportunity with Pyramids. I would also like to thank the entire technical staff on their effort, in addition to the players who gave a lot to achieve our objectives including beating Al Ahly and Zamalek, Diaz wrote on Facebook.
“I am happy because I enjoyed the culture of this great country. Greetings to everyone.”
