Ramadan Sobhi, Omar Salah lead Egypt’s Olympic team for June friendlies

Egypt’s Olympic team manager has announced his squad for the players that have been chosen ahead of friendlies against Uzbekistan and Palestine.

Gharib has chosen 30 players to join Egypt’s Olympic team. They will be starting with friendlies against Uzbekistan on June 9 and 11 and face Palestine on June 16.

Al Ahly player on loan from Huddersfield as well as Zamalek goalkeeper were both included in the team’s list, which also included Mohamed Sadek and Abdulrahman Magdy.

The team’s most recent training camp took place in Spain in preceding March, where they defeated USA 2-0 before losing to the Netherlands with a 1-0 scoreline.

Egypt full squad:

Goalkeepers: Omar Radwan (El-Gouna), Omar Salah (Zamalek), Mohamed Sobhi (Petrojet), Mostafa Shobier (Al Ahly).

Defenders: Osama Galal (Misr El-Makkasa), Mahmoud El-Gazar (El-Gouna), Ahmed Ramadan (Wadi Degla), Mahmoud Marei (Wadi Degla), Mohamed Abdel-Salam (Zamalek), Karim Yehia (Smouha), Ahmed Ayman (Ismaily).

Midfielders: Abdel-Rahman Magdy (Ismaily), Karim El-Iraqi (Al Masry), Akram Tawfik (El-Gouna), Nasser Maher (Al Ahly), Emam Ashour (Haras El-Hodood), Ahmed Hamdy (El-Gouna), Sherif Reda (Smouha), Ammar Hamdy (Ittihad of Alexandria), Ramadan Sobhi (Al Ahly), Omar Marmoush (VfL Wolfsburg II), Mohamed Sadek (Ismaily), Ahmed Youssef (ENPPI), Ahmed Said (Wadi Degla), Ghanam Mohamed (Entag El-Harby).
