Mahmoud Kahraba linked with Ittihad Jeddah return
Zamalek forward Mahmoud Kahraba is linked with a loan return to Al Ittihad, where he previously enjoyed the best form of his career.
The versatile forward has been one Zamalek’s key players this season as he guided the Whites to the CAF Confederation Cup title.
Since his return, Kahraba has made 27 appearances for the Cairo giants in the domestic competitions, scoring 11 goals while assisting further 11.
As a result, Kahraba has been offered a way out of Egypt with his former club in Jeddah who are looking to go back to competing for titles rather than the relegation battle they endured in 2018-19.
The 25-year-old featured for Ittihad Jeddah for two years between 2016 and 2018, joining the Saudi club on loan from Zamalek.
During his time in Saudi Arabia, Kahraba scored 24 goals and provided nine assists in 53 games across all competitions.
He was named as the club’s top scorer on his debut season, as well as clinching the Saudi Cup and the Crown Prince Cup.
Wherever Kahraba plays, his main task will be to work his way back into the Egyptian national team after missing out on a place in the 2019 AFCON squad despite being one of the only goalscorers for the Pharaohs in 2017.
