Alisson Becker puts together the perfect player, chooses Salah’s speed
Alisson and Mohamed Salah have shared the dressing room at both AS Roma and Liverpool, and now they have won their first major European trophy in the UEFA Champions League.
The Brazilian international played a major part in his club’s success this season as he kept 27 clean sheets in 51 games with the Reds and he is currently getting set to represent the Seleção in the 2019 Copa America.
The 26-year-old was challenged by BT Sport to choose the leadership skills, technique, work rate, acceleration, left foot and right foot of his Perfect Player.
For technique, he elected Brazilian compatriot Neymar, as for leadership he chose former Roma captain Daniele De Rossi and for work rate he chose James Milner. Then for the left foot, he chose Marcelo, right foot Totti, and finally Salah’s acceleration.
“My choice for speed is Mo Salah. He is certainly a player who is fast both without the ball and with the ball,” Alisson said on Salah.
“So it’s a player who makes the difference on the field in counter-attacks, especially in plays that need to open space on the opposing team,” he added.
