head coach Paul Put has revealed that Liverpool’s midfielder  is set to feature against Egypt at Borg El-Arab on June 16.

Keita suffered an adductor injury during Liverpool’s 3-0 loss against Barcelona in May, which forced him to miss the Reds’ last four games of the season.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled him out for at least two months, and added that the midfielder will miss the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

However, Keita was included in Guinea’s provisional AFCON squad, and according to Paul Put, he will play against Egypt on June 16, when the Pharaohs host them as part of their preparations for the tournament.

“Keita leaves [Liverpool] after training in the morning and arrives Monday [evening],” the Belgian told Foot224.

“I put a lot of pressure on Liverpool to [send him] as soon as possible.

“In the end, I said that if Naby does not come now, it will be difficult to put [him on] the list for AFCON.

“He said he will play against Egypt,” the Belgian coach added.

Before the Egypt friendly, Guinea will face Benin on June 11 at Borg El-Arab, before facing the Pharaohs on the same pitch four days later.

They were drawn in Group B alongside Burundi and Madagascar, who will be participating in the tournament for the first time in their history, as well as Nigeria.
