Ittihad of Alexandria appoint Talaat Youssef as permanent manager
The Alexandria giants had a disappointing season, which saw them survive their first-ever relegation following a 3-1 victory over Smouha in their final game of the season.
Ten days before the decisive game, the club appointed Talaat Youssef for his fifth stint, with the manager insisting that he has returned back to take charge of the club’s final game only.
However, after the team managed to stay in the Egyptian Premier League, club president Mohamed Meselhy has convinced Youssef to coach his side in the new season.
Prior to joining Ittihad of Alexandria, Youssef quit as Misr El-Makkasa boss for personal reasons despite guiding the team to the sixth place in the league.
Youssef also had stints at Smouha, Petrojet, El-Gaish, Telephonat Beni Suef, Al Masry, Ittihad El-Shorta, Baladeyat El-Mahalla, El-Koroum, as as well as Libyan side Al Ahli Tripoli.
