EFA announce referee for Egypt-Botswana friendly
The encounter was moved from the Cairo stadium to Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria for security reasons, with the EFA allowing 10,000 fans to attend the game.
EFA confirmed that Nour El-Din will be in charge of the game and will be accompanied by Ahmed Hossam and Samir Gamal as linesmen, and Ahmed El-Ghandour as the fourth official.
The last time Nour El-Din officiated a friendly game for Egypt was in 2016, where the Pharaohs defeated Burkina Faso 2-0, thanks to a brace from Abdullah El-Said.
As Hossam El-Badry prepares his side for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers, set to begin next month, the 59-year-old’s reign as Egypt’s head coach starts with a friendly against Botswana on Monday. Kick-off takes place at 19:00 CLT.
