Ramy Rabia sustains injury in Al Ahly training
Al Ahly defender Ramy Rabia was forced to leave the Red Devils training halfway on Wednesday due to injury, putting his presence in their CAF Champions League group opener against Etoile Sportive du Sahel in doubt.
Al Ahly will look to continue their perfect run under new manager Rene Weiler when they visit Etoile on Friday, November 29 at Rades Stadium.
The Red Devils were drawn in Group B with Etoile du Sahel, Sudan’s Al-Hilal, and Zimbabwe’s FC Platinum.
Rabia was injured in a challenge with teammate Marwan Mohsen during Al Ahly’s training on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old defender received a blow to his thigh and will undergo a medical test before the team’s training on Thursday to stand on his stance from the anticipated clash.
Rabia featured in three of Al Ahly’s league games this season and has shown promising signs about regaining his best form.
