OFFICIAL: Ismaily terminate Miodrag Jesic’ contract
Egyptian Premier League side, Ismaily, have terminated Serbian manager Miodrag Jesic’ contract following a series of disappointing performances.
Jesic took charge of the Yellows back in August and led them through nine games, winning five while losing the remaining four across the Egyptian League and the Arab Club Championship.
Despite having reached the Arab Club Championship quarter-finals, after beating Libya’s Al Ahli Benghazi and Emirati giants Al Jazira in the opening rounds. Ismaily currently sit 12th on the league table with six points from five games.
The Yellow Castle have won just one game in their previous three, with their latest three nil thrashing against Ittihad of Alexandria being the last straw for the club’s board, who decided to terminate the 61-year-old’s contract.
Ismaily have announced in an official statement that club legends Adham El-Salhadar and Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Greisha have been chosen as caretakers, until a new manager is chosen.
Ismaily will hope to return to winning ways when they host 11th-placed Tanta next Wednesday December 4th, at 16:30pm local time.
