Egypt to host 2021 World Military Cup
The Egyptian Armed Forces sports authority and the International Military Sports Council (CISM) have struck an agreement to organise the Military World Football Cup 2021 in Egypt.
The third edition of the new version of the CISM World Football Cup will be held in the African continent for the first time.
16 national teams are set to compete in the tournament, including four teams from Europe and as many from Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
“Egypt promises an exemplary hosting of the tournament in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Egyptian Olympic Committee and the Egyptian Football Association,” Egypt’s Deputy Defense Minister said in light of the event.
It has been also decided that the stadiums that will host the competitions’ matches are Cairo International Stadium, Military Academy Stadium, Air Defense Stadium, El Salam Stadium, Petrosport Stadium, and Military Sports System Stadium.
